Dannelle D. Stevens, with a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Michigan State, has co-authored four books and numerous articles, framed around different ways to assist faculty in their complex roles as writers, scholars and teachers. She has crystallized her many years of experience into assisting graduate students, faculty and other professionals in creating a productive and satisfying professional life. She views coaching, consulting, and writing from a holistic perspective, valuing the person, the process as well as the product.

Over the last seven years, in her role as Portland State University Faculty-in-Residence for Academic Writing in the Office of Academic Innovation, she has created the Jumpstart Faculty Writing Program involving over 300 faculty members in learning the strategies and skills of publishing academic writing. She consults both nationally and internationally on strategies that improve faculty writing and publishing, and promote positive classroom assessment practices as well as infuse their work with creative insights.
